For the ultimate private and secluded feeling in paradise, the beautiful Lagoon Suites at Medhufushi Island Resort, are the perfect hideaway. As the most luxurious Maldives villa category, they are freestanding villas built over the lagoon. They are located in splendid isolation accessible only by a private dhoni (wooden boat). The captain is on hand around the clock to ferry you between the suite and the island if you want to leave it, or meals and amenities can be delivered to the suite upon request. There’s also a large bathroom with open-air rain shower and a double bathtub facing the sea.
Situated over the crystal-clear water of the lagoon, the sunrise or sunset-facing Water Villas feature floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom which fold back across the entire fourth wall so you can fully embrace the ocean views. They also offer espresso machines and direct access to the lagoon via steps from your private sundeck.
The beach villas are set upon the powdery white sand and surrounded by lush vegetation such as hibiscus and sea cabbage for extra privacy. Highlights include four-poster king-size bed/twin beds and outdoor rain showers.
The Semi-Detached Beach villas are set on the beach and are the same as the Beach Villas. The only difference is that these villas are semi-detached and offer an increased amount of space and with a partition door joined to the other villas.
